Are we Immortals?
Awhile ago I was visiting a small village, and on my way back, I saw a graveyard. I didn't want to stop by, for obvious reasons, however it made think about death, how our life is really short, that in reality we don't know how long we have left, we are here today but tomorrow perhaps not anymore. This moment, many people around the world are not going back home, wives won't see their spouses anymore. At this very moment, how many people are being diagnosed with a terminal illness, how many people have been killed in an accident.
Still, we live our lives as if we were eternal, as we were immortals, wasting our precious time suffering, feeling less than enough, and consume for all these negative emotions and limited beliefs. If we viewed ourselves otherwise, we would be living our lives to the fullest, as if today were our last day. I know ... I understand that our mind was conditioned by society, or past traumas.
Even so is our personal responsibility with ourselves to shift and transform our set of beliefs. Because at the end of our lives, you don't want to feel like the song that was never sang, the music that was never played, the skills that were never used. The ideas that were never executed, the life that was never lived, or the cry which was never voiced.
Can you observe the life you have today? Your lifestyle, relationships, finances, freedom, and so on. If everything that is happening in your life now, is the way you dreamt of it being, congratulations, you're winning this play we call reality.
Otherwise are you going to continue allowing your past to define you?
